Naarmate de technologie in auto's zich ontwikkelt, is het cruciaal om de systemen van uw voertuig up-to-date te houden, vooral componenten zoals de USB-poort die Apple CarPlay en Android Auto ondersteunt. Als u verbindingsproblemen ervaart met Apple CarPlay, is het misschien tijd om uw USB-poort te vervangen. Volkswagen- en SEAT-voertuigen uit begin 2015 en 2016 werden uitgerust met het MIB-systeem van tweede generatie, dat Apple CarPlay ondersteunde. Niet alle voertuigen uit die periode waren echter voorzien van compatibele USB-poorten vanwege de stapsgewijze introductie van Apple CarPlay in september 2015 en de bredere adoptie ervan in 2016. Daarom kan voor sommige voertuigen uit die periode een vernieuwde USB-poort nodig zijn om Apple CarPlay volledig te kunnen benutten.
Maar hoe bepaalt u of vervanging nodig is? Deze gids helpt u te bepalen of u een nieuwe USB-poort nodig heeft en ervoor te zorgen dat uw auto uitgerust blijft met de nieuwste technologie.
1. Uw voertuig is uitgerust met een van deze Installed SW Train Versions (geïnstalleerde SW Train-versies)
Als uw Volkswagen is uitgerust met een van deze Installed SW Train Versions (Geïnstalleerde SW Train-versies), dan kan deze mogelijk problemen geven (waarbij XX staat voor een willekeurig cijfer):
- MST2_EU_VW_PQ_P02XXT
- MST2_EU_VW_ZR_P02XXT
- MST2_EU_SE_ZR_P02XXT
- MST2_EU_SE_PQ_P02XXT
In enkele zeldzame gevallen als u een enkelvoudige USB-poort hebt en uw versie is:
- MST2_EU_SE_ZR_P03XXT - deze moet ook worden vervangen.
Om te bevestigen of vervanging nodig is, haalt u de USB-poort fysiek uit het voertuig en kijkt u in de volgende stap naar een groene connector.
2. Controleer of uw USB-poort groen is
Pak een dun hulpmiddel om de USB-poort uit uw voertuig te wrikken. Een mes of dun schroevendraaier is hiervoor voldoende. Verwijder de USB-poort langzaam (terwijl de kabel nog is aangesloten). Als deze eruitziet zoals hieronder met een paarse/roze connector aan de achterkant, dan moet deze worden vervangen.
Onderdeelnummer: 5G0 035 222 F (alleen Android Auto).
De vervangende poort ziet er als volgt uit met een groene connector:

I have a 2018 Passat, i’m trying to replace the front USB connector that looses connection when going over bumps. My original USB is 5G0 035 222 ( which plays Apple carplay) I have tried installing 5G0 035 222E and it does not power up any devices, also, the original USB does not have the red and black wires above the green connector where the 5G0 035 222E has a slot for them. Am I using the wrong USB? Thank you for any & all advice.

Sir. I have a Volkswagen Tiguan 2015 (Reg: PF15UVW). I can connect my iPhone to the VW audio via blue tooth but I can’t get Carnet or WLAN. There is a notice that pops up on the screen saying: “Unable to connect to internet. Check WLAN availability. Get an activation key to use this function”.

I also have a factory installed USB block but I don’t know if it is 222F or 222E because I can’t remove it to see the colour. Does it need to be removed or there is another way to find out if it is Apple compatible?
Can you please advise if I order your SD card for Apple iPlay, I will be able to get my car screen activated by wireless or wire through my iPhone.
