How to install

The dash cam is designed specifically for the JAECOO 7, allowing it to integrate neatly into the existing trim around the rear-view mirror.

Installation involves removing the rear-view mirror trim, connecting the dash cam to the vehicle’s existing power supply located behind the trim, and fitting the replacement dash cam housing into position.

There is no need to run a power cable across the windscreen or down to the 12V socket, helping maintain a clean, factory-style installation with minimal visible wiring.

Once installed, simply insert a compatible microSD card and connect to the dash cam via WiFi using the companion smartphone app to configure your settings and access recordings.

If you’re not comfortable removing vehicle trim, we recommend having the dash cam fitted by a competent installer or auto electrician.

How is the dash cam powered?

The dash cam connects to the vehicle’s existing power supply located behind the rear-view mirror trim. This provides a clean, integrated installation with no need to run a power cable across the windscreen or down to the 12V socket.

What is the difference between the two camera options?

The 4K Front Camera option includes the integrated front-facing 4K dash cam. The 4K Front + 1080p Rear Camera option adds a separate 1080p rear-facing camera, allowing you to record both the front and rear of the vehicle.

Does it look like an aftermarket dash cam?

Unlike a conventional windscreen-mounted dash cam, this unit is designed to integrate with the existing housing around the rear-view mirror. This keeps the camera discreet and avoids a bulky suction mount or visible power cable running across the windscreen.

How do I view my recordings?

The dash cam has built-in WiFi and connects directly to your smartphone using the companion app. From the app you can preview the camera, view saved recordings, download clips to your phone and adjust camera settings.

Does it record automatically?

Yes. Once installed, the dash cam automatically starts recording when it receives power from the vehicle. Loop recording automatically replaces the oldest standard recordings when the memory card becomes full.

Is a microSD card included?

No. A microSD card is not included. The dash cam supports compatible microSD cards up to 128GB.

Is installation difficult?

The camera is designed specifically for the JAECOO 7 and installs around the existing rear-view mirror area using the supplied connections. Some interior trim will need to be removed during installation. If you're not comfortable working with vehicle trim or wiring, we recommend professional installation.

Does the rear camera come included?

Only when you select the 4K Front + 1080p Rear Camera option. The standard 4K Front Camera option includes the front camera only.
