Porsche PCM4 - Apple CarPlay / Android Auto Activation

Excellent product, clear instructions, installed easily and worked straightaway.

Connecting 2nd phone was a bit hit and miss, but think that was the phone, and it (somewhat randomly worked) in the end!

I would recommend getting the software supplied on the SD card because in the listing it doesn't say that you need an SD card between 16gb and 32GB and that you need a windows PC I opted for the email delivery because I wanted it quickly but it still took 24 hours for them to send it and then when they did the instructions Strongly recommend that you use a Windows PC which I don't have and I knew I had an SD card but they don't tell you that you need a certain size card until you receive the instructions. Luckily I could borrow a windows latp top and a 16gb card from a neighbour otherwise I would have had to order one from Amazon which would have taken another 24 hours. If I had known, I would have just ordered the card with the software pre installed.
Once I had the software on the card it worked really well and took around 25 minutes. At one point I had a warning on the dash saying system fault with a lightning bolt but this went away after a few minutes.
Once completed it didn't work with the cable I had so after reading the FAQ I tried a few different cables that I had around the house and one of them worked but several didn't so try a few different cables if it doesn't work at first. Once I had the correct cable it connected instantly and has worked perfectly since.

This process was amazingly precise and easy to follow! I actually connected a battery tender, but the entire update only took 15 minutes! I did the email download to an SD micro with an adapter, and it worked perfectly! I highly recommend this service, their products, and the description of the process! Thank you, Vision Coding!

I was a little dubious on the basis that if its too good to be true etc but I am delighted by the service ,support and the end result.
A super software solution with a hugely satisfying outcome- full CarPlay on my 2016 Macan Turbo. Well done and sorry for being a bit dense on the tech side but you got me there in the end. A full five stars fully deserved

I contacted Vison coding through WhatsApp before ordering to confirm compatibility for my 718 Cayman, then went ahead and ordered. I received the email with all the relevant information and files within minutes of placing the order!
I encountered a slight issue which was actually my own error, but after contacting them again I was given a solution which solved the issue straight away.
The actual process of updating the software was very straightforward, and was complete in around 20 minutes.
I highly recommend this company for their service and great communication!

Code arrived really quickly and the instructions were very clear. Had no issues following the instructions through and all working

Great item, easy install

Worked perfectly. No issues. Saved me a lot of money with Porsche garages. Would recommend.

Great support within 24hrs

SD card for Android Auto installed perfectly within 30 minutes with the very simple instructions! Thank you!

Couldn't be happier with this solution to enable Android Auto on my Macan. The instructions are easy to follow and I had no issues at all in installing the software. The installation takes a while to do but everything worked perfectly and I have a fully functional Android Auto on my head unit. Price was reasonable, delivery was rapid. Excellent

Easy install works great.
Would recommend.
Thank you. 😁

The PCM was so easy to carry out and the instructions are very clear. I would highly recommend it to others.

Worked exactly as per the instructions. No issues at all.

fast and easy delivery and installation

Outstanding piece of kit.
It works and we now have so much more features. Upgrade took about 25 mins.

Really easy to sort and super clear instructions

I use a Mac and as long as you format the card correctly it will work

Or just by the SD card if you prefer

Wireless dongle works seamlessly too

5/5

I opted for the digital files by email as it was much quicker, and I’m reasonably tech savvy. The files arrived promptly after ordering, downloading them was simple, and they came with instructions that were clear to follow and made installation fairly painless. I had one error message come up during the installation, but the instructions clearly advised sending a WhatsApp message with a photo of the error screen, and so I did exactly that, and had a reply in minutes which resolved the issue and the rest of the install went perfectly. Very happy with the upgrade, so much better than the standard part screen car play with the rest of the screen empty and wasted. Would definitely recommend the upgrade and Vision to anyone else.

Ordering the files from Vision Coding, putting them on an SD card, and simply inserting the card into the PCM unit was about as simple as it gets. Worked perfectly and worth every penny! The alternative was downloading files from GitHub and going through a complicated process that sounded complex and risky. Skip the hassle and order the file from Vision Coding and be done with it.

Fantastic no fuss service, did not see Gracenote2 in the install, not sure why not, but all works perfect and kept my PCM 4 software as well, as I did the SD download and installed AA and broke my PCM 4. Cheers

Worked a treat for my 2017 Cayenne. Had a minor install problem with the cameras and original navigation not working, but they worked out a fix straight away and the updated files work flawlessly. Great support and product. Highly recommended.

Working perfect with android auto now

Upgrade was very straightforward and worked great. I’m very happy with the results as Porsche wanted £1000 to add this on.

AMAZING!!!! £79 for Apple CarPlay in Porsche 718 Boxster !!

I opted for the SD card which was so simple to use, simply stick it in the slot and it downloads in about 20 minutes. I bought a wireless adapter from tik tok for £12 and I now have wireless car play for less than £100 installed. A £1500 option with Porsche at the time.

Thank you Vision Coding you’ve transformed my driving experience and added value to my car .

Molto soddisfatto!! L'attivazione è riuscita perfettamente ed è stato semplicissimo, grazie alla guida dettagliata da voi fornita.

Great overall! Worked perfectly.

Worked like a charm. Received within 2 days and instructions were simple to use. I now have access to Android Auto and Apple Carplay. Also, the price was much cheaper than most places. A+

Great product and easy set up. After sales and support are fab!
