How does it work?
Installation is carried out using an SD card and the vehicle's SD card slot. You insert the SD card, follow the included instructions and once complete you'll have Audi Smartphone Interface available.
Will this work for my car?
Compatible with Audi A4, A5, Q5 or Q7 4M vehicles manufactured 2015-2020 with MIB2 headunits.
Step 1
Check your headunit software version as follows:
- Hold NAV up and MEDIA down together for at least 5 seconds
- Select Version Information
Step 2
If your Current Version looks like this, it's compatible (where x is any digit/character):
- MHI2_ER_AUG22_xxxxx
- MHI2Q_ER_AUG22_xxxxx
Step 3
Choose your delivery method, select an upgrade, input your version information and place your order.

Each activation is single use and gives a one-time lifetime activation on the head unit it is applied to, so it cannot be reused or returned once supplied.

By ordering you request immediate supply and acknowledge that you lose your 14-day right to cancel once we send the files, or once you unseal the SD card, under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.

Frequently asked questions
What's the difference between Email and SD card?
Your order data for your Version Information will be delivered via email within 24 hours. Instructions are included. You will need your own Windows device + spare SD card (between 8-32GB) to carry out the installation. No Macs allowed.
SD card
You will receive a pre-loaded SD card via the post, plus instructions. No Windows device necessary. Choose this option if you have a Mac for example. This is also the easiest option as it will essentially be plug-and-play.
Do I need any upgrades?
It’s entirely your choice, but we highly recommend the Carlinkit Mini Ultra wireless adapter for the best experience. Factory systems only support wired connections–this adapter seamlessly converts it to wireless, giving you hassle-free access every time you start your car.
Do you offer map updates?
We do not currently support map updates, however, we recommend navigation via Apple CarPlay or Android Auto using Google Maps, Apple Maps or Waze.
My headunit software version doesn't begin with MHI2
Unfortunately, we can only support head units running MHI2 software versions. Other versions are not compatible.

Always conscious of third party coding however the process was easy and worked exactly as the instructions said. Highly recommended.
I opted to load onto my own SD to speed things up, but this is to be done using windows. If a mac owner, order the card.
