Porsche PCM4 - Apple CarPlay / Android Auto Activation

This process was amazingly precise and easy to follow! I actually connected a battery tender, but the entire update only took 15 minutes! I did the email download to an SD micro with an adapter, and it worked perfectly! I highly recommend this service, their products, and the description of the process! Thank you, Vision Coding!

I was a little dubious on the basis that if its too good to be true etc but I am delighted by the service ,support and the end result.
A super software solution with a hugely satisfying outcome- full CarPlay on my 2016 Macan Turbo. Well done and sorry for being a bit dense on the tech side but you got me there in the end. A full five stars fully deserved

I contacted Vison coding through WhatsApp before ordering to confirm compatibility for my 718 Cayman, then went ahead and ordered. I received the email with all the relevant information and files within minutes of placing the order!
I encountered a slight issue which was actually my own error, but after contacting them again I was given a solution which solved the issue straight away.
The actual process of updating the software was very straightforward, and was complete in around 20 minutes.
I highly recommend this company for their service and great communication!

I opted for the digital files by email as it was much quicker, and I’m reasonably tech savvy. The files arrived promptly after ordering, downloading them was simple, and they came with instructions that were clear to follow and made installation fairly painless. I had one error message come up during the installation, but the instructions clearly advised sending a WhatsApp message with a photo of the error screen, and so I did exactly that, and had a reply in minutes which resolved the issue and the rest of the install went perfectly. Very happy with the upgrade, so much better than the standard part screen car play with the rest of the screen empty and wasted. Would definitely recommend the upgrade and Vision to anyone else.

Ordering the files from Vision Coding, putting them on an SD card, and simply inserting the card into the PCM unit was about as simple as it gets. Worked perfectly and worth every penny! The alternative was downloading files from GitHub and going through a complicated process that sounded complex and risky. Skip the hassle and order the file from Vision Coding and be done with it.

Fantastic no fuss service, did not see Gracenote2 in the install, not sure why not, but all works perfect and kept my PCM 4 software as well, as I did the SD download and installed AA and broke my PCM 4. Cheers

Worked a treat for my 2017 Cayenne. Had a minor install problem with the cameras and original navigation not working, but they worked out a fix straight away and the updated files work flawlessly. Great support and product. Highly recommended.

I opted for the SD card which was so simple to use, simply stick it in the slot and it downloads in about 20 minutes. I bought a wireless adapter from tik tok for £12 and I now have wireless car play for less than £100 installed. A £1500 option with Porsche at the time.

When I purchased this I half thought I was wasting my money and it would not work. However I was totally wrong and in my 718 boxter 2016 I now have fully working wireless apple play and 2024 Porsche maps all fully installed. I can’t thank the guys at vision coding enough.

The install instructions were super simple to follow and all went as planed

The instructions do say put your car on charge (or I guess leave it runnning) when installing as it can drain the battery which I ignored…. Needless to say it did drain the battery but a five min charge and a bit of a drive to charge it back up and all was fine again

Also had a bit of a panic during the install when the car said system fault as it was going through the install - but then it rebooted again as part of the install (does that a few times) and all was ok again - this looks like just part of the process and as It was part through the install - just left it as per the instructions and all was fine -
Though I would mention to avoid the hot flush for others!!

Thanks again to the guys at Vision - super happy with the end result - Would highly recommend to anyone sitting on the fence and not sure if to go for it - top product (I got the SD cad posted which I would also recommend as then you know the files are as ther should be - arrived in 48 hours)

Couldn't have been simpler, followed supplied instructions and let PCM run through install, worked a treat. Had issue getting wireless connection but was pointed to FAQ which sorted that. would recommend

Everything works exactly as described. Uploading and updating the SD card took the time it says. Make sure you have a genuine Apple cable to plug in your phone to the car.

Took 20 mins in total and I now have Android Auto in my Porsche Macan 2017, didn't even have CarPlay beforehand so completely surpised this was even an option. Highly recommended. Will stop me upgrading my car for a while.

Amazing, thanks for enabling this safe firmware update at a reasonable price as I know others would charge much more. Used my own SD card and instructions were detailed but simple to understand.took me about 35 mins in all once the card was inserted. Don’t be afraid to try. I now have CarPlay which is probably the best thing about Apple.
only 1 slight issue I had, it was showing no USB connection at one point on a startup but a quick restart of the unit ( press an holding the off button for 10 secs ) did the trick.
It opens up a whole new experience especially as the built in Sat nav’s are pretty useless unless you pay.

After being quoted £450 by my local Porsche dealer to activate Apple CarPlay on my 2017 Macan, I took to Google and found Vision Coding. £99.95 and 30 minutes work and I have fully functional Apple CarPlay and am a very happy bunny. Highly recommended.

Definitely worth the money. The steps were easy to follow, and the team was there whenever I had a question. My 2018 Boxster now has Android Auto even though it's not available as standard. Thanks guys
