Heads-up for 2015/2016 models

Early models are a 2-step process: this activation first, then additional programming (independent of this activation) to fully enable Apple CarPlay and Android Auto on the headunit.

Will this work for my car?

This enables wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto on compatible SEAT MIB2 units.

Step 1 – Confirm your software version

You’ll enter this at checkout. Hold MENU for 3 seconds, select Software update/versions, then Installed SW Train Version. It should start with MST2 – for example:

MST2_EU_SE_ZR_P0468T
MST2_EU_SE_ZR_P0241T
MST2_EU_SE_PQ_P0468T

Versions ending P02xxT need one extra programming step with an OBDEleven device after our activation.

Step 2 – Count your SD card slots

Two slots labelled SD1 and SD2? That’s a supported headunit. Just one slot? Not compatible.

Each activation is single use and gives a one-time lifetime activation on the head unit it is applied to, so it cannot be reused or returned once supplied.

What's the difference between Email and SD card?

Email

Your order data for your Installed SW Train Version will be delivered via email within 24 hours. Instructions are included. You will need your own Windows/Mac device + spare SD card (between 4-32GB) to carry out the installation.

SD card

You will receive a pre-loaded SD card via the post, plus instructions. No computer needed. This is also the easiest option as it will essentially be plug-and-play.

Do I need any upgrades?

It’s entirely your choice, but we highly recommend the Carlinkit Mini Ultra wireless adapter for the best experience. Factory systems only support wired connections–this adapter seamlessly converts it to wireless, giving you hassle-free access every time you start your car.

My car model is 2015/2016. Do I need a new USB socket?

My version ends in P02xxT. What extra step is required?

Step 1

Install the software to enable the services on the headunit.

Step 2

Using a device known as OBDEleven, make some coding changes to display the activated services (Apple CarPlay and Android Auto). You will also need the replacement part number 5G0035222E to allow CarPlay to function.

Note

The instructions sent with the software details the coding changes required. Step 2 is the customer's responsibility and is independent of the activation.

I only have slot SD1, will this work for me?

In most cases, this product is not suitable for your vehicle. Due to technical reasons, we are unable to support this type of headunit.

Do you offer map updates?

We do not currently support map updates, however, we recommend navigation via Apple CarPlay or Android Auto using Google Maps, Apple Maps or Waze.

Fantastic service and product

My fiancée has wanted Apple CarPlay activating in her Seat Leon for a while now but didn’t want to pay £200 at the dealer, she is on holiday this week and I did some research and found Vision Coding offering a self activation option for £50. I decided to give it ago, within an hour I had the email with the necessary files to put on an SD card along with clear and concise step by step instructions. 10 minutes later CarPlay was activated so she has a nice surprise waiting for her when she gets home. Strongly recommend anyone gives Vision Coding a go as they’re way cheaper than the dealers and service is impeccable.

I ordered the Seat MIB2 Apple CarPlay and Android full link enabler upgrade SD card and it did not disappoint. Installation was remarkably straight forward and quick. Completed in 5 minutes. A gift for my Mum, she’s thrilled. Her 2018 Leon frustratingly was only equipped with a now dated satnav. This beats the £274 Seat quoted me hands down! Would thoroughly recommend.

Wish I'd done this month's ago.

Having tried and failed multiple times to get my full link activated by my nearest SEAT dealership i decided to try vision coding.
Ordered the SD card which arrived the next day with a link for instructions.
So simple everything was done and working within 10 minutes.
Also purchased a wireless adapter which was also simple to set up and works perfectly.
Brilliant service and product and a fraction of the cost expected by SEAT.

Product was delivered quickly as described but after the quick installation following the guide the system keeps freezing. No response since, takes your money and runs. I would avoid.
